Luxury Hospitality, Poorly Applied
Five-star service. Zero regard for your personal safety. Every resort amenity is delivered with confidence, polish, and deeply selective transparency.
Resort briefing
A comedy-sci-fi golf adventure about complimentary presentations, catastrophic fine print, dangerous fairways, and one very ordinary guy who only wanted to finish his round and find a restroom.
Phill Collins is a recently divorced guy in his forties who just wants to finish his round and find a bathroom. Instead, he stumbles into Space Course Unlimited — an impossibly polished interstellar golf resort that offers him a complimentary presentation, a stack of paperwork, and an escalating series of problems that are somehow both impeccably branded and immediately life-threatening.
Along the way he meets Plibax, an overqualified concierge with perfect manners, and a robotic caddie intelligence whose operational helpfulness may exceed its emotional calibration. The result is part corporate satire, part adventure comedy, and part survival round where every hole gets stranger than the last.

Resort briefingBeautiful views. Lethal wildlife. Every hole is a new problem, and many of those problems would prefer to eat your ball first and ask questions later.
Course conditionsYou signed up for this. Probably. The contract language is immaculate, the waiver provisions are robust, and the consequences are not hypothetical.

A recently divorced golfer in his forties, Phill is practical, wary, and far more capable than he first appears. He never intended to join an interstellar resort ecosystem. He only wanted to finish his round and find a restroom. Unfortunately for him, his habit of reading around the fine print collides with a company that writes it professionally.
SCU’s exquisitely composed concierge and resident exception-finder. Plibax understands the rules, the loopholes, and the guest-facing tone required to present both as a premium service. He genuinely wants to help, but he would strongly prefer that all assistance remain orderly, polished, and free from visible mess.
A classic spherical robot caddie with a polished corporate voice and just enough independent intent to be useful, suspicious, and oddly endearing. HIVE tracks the course, advises on shot selection, and occasionally says the quiet part in a tone that implies it believes it is helping.
One of the local course hazards best described as wildlife-adjacent and legally underdocumented. Slumberjaw enjoys sunning near water features, sleeping on ideal golf lines, and reminding guests that “unplayable lie” is sometimes a philosophical category.
Featured prominently in authorized promotional materials and even more prominently in nightmares, this bioluminescent problem serves as a reminder that SCU branding is aspirational, not protective. Approach with caution, distance, and a healthy respect for the food chain.
A shrieking local with the disposition of a turf war and the spatial awareness of a guided missile. Guests are advised to admire from a distance and avoid direct competition for territory, nesting areas, or emotionally loaded fairway real estate.

No. Space Course Unlimited is the fictional corporate universe surrounding Space Course: Balls of Destiny, a novel by Brad Thompson.
It’s a comedic science-fiction golf adventure with corporate satire, absurd hazards, escalating stakes, and a luxury-resort voice that should not be trusted without legal review.
You’ll receive release updates and the promised Full Course Guide reward when distribution is ready.
That is the working ambition, assuming Earth Division remains solvent and the hazard reports stay within printable limits.
